Job Requirements

You hold a cooking qualification and must demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience in the professional kitchens of quality restaurants, private houses, villas, yachts, ski chalets etc.
Previous chalet work is not required and while spoken French is not necessarily needed, it can be an advantage. Fluent English is however required.
Good communication and team working skills are essential.
Minimum age is 24, to have the above experience

Roles & Responsibilities

Chalet Chef:
The Chef works alongside your chalet host(s) to manage his/her assigned chalet, ensuring that the guests' needs are met at all times while maintaining Go Ski Meribel’s high standards. The chef's primary responsibility is to provide excellent & creative menus to the guests.

Go Ski Meribel’s aim is to deliver excellent food and exceptional service at an affordable price to our clients.
Working as the chef in each chalet, you need to tailor your food to meet your customers' needs and wishes within your chosen weekly menu, you will have the freedom to work on your own dishes, create your own menus within a set weekly budget and to show your creativity and flair.
You must be able to cater for and create full menus for many dietary requirements.
You need to be good at working as part of a team. You must have high work standards, be customer-focused, self-motivated and take pride in your work.

You are responsible for ordering chalet supplies and managing within the weekly food budget.
Previous Experience


Salary
Competitive salary package including accommodation, travel, ski rental, ski insurance, discounted ski pass, (food and drinks on working days), 39 hours per week with 2 days off. & Holiday Pay. It is an 18-week contract, you must be available from 1st December 2024 to 17th April 2025.

In order to apply; You must have an EU passport or CDS (French residency permit) or if you are a 3rd party national (NZ, Aus, SA etc) You must already be in possession of a French working visa.

We will NOT consider UK passport holders unless you have a FULL permanent French Residency permit (CDS).
